Sometimes, in the course of human events...
...you find that a good thing can be better.
And, thus it is with ETRT.
End Times Round Table was started to fill a need. People were looking for a place where Christians could come together to watch and prepare for the days ahead. They wanted a place where they could discuss with more freedom of speech than most internet forums. They wanted a place where they could bring up ideas and opinions without fear.
But, most of all, they wanted a place where they could fellowship as a family in love and compassion for one another and the world around them.
And, for a while, ETRT filled this need.
But, in recent times, people came in with a need to press agenda, rather than discussion. Others came in with demands to be followed, instead of compassion and edification. A spirit of division filled the board, with people being hurt and abused for offering correction and question.
Overall, the site lost focus on it's first love--Jesus Christ.
So, the staff decided that, "Hey! If a person can be born again, maybe a forum could be, too."
What has followed has been one of the most intense efforts on the part of the staff of ETRT to remake the forum. We've removed a lot of excess items. We've upgraded software. We've added rules, and systems, to help prevent the damaging fights and doctrinal arguments that were destroying the peace of the board.
We've done this because we want everyone to have the best environment possible to do the most important of things: refocus on our first love, Jesus Christ.
So, to our brothers and sisters, we offer this new site as a way to spread the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ to the world, a tool to prepare for any event that may happen between now and our going home to be with our Lord, and as a place where we can love one another with a reflection of the love Father showed to us through Jesus.
But, a simple warning to those who would be wolves in the fold, sowing hatred and mistrust in the fellowship, hoping to pick off the sheep of the Lord one at a time by gossip and dark whispers of lies and deceptions. Don't! There will be zero tolerance for people that do these things. We aren't talking about occasional fights or misspoken words--we're all human, and subject to such on occassion. No, this is for those that are obviously trying to gather a private following, that are obviously seeking to damage or destroy the fellowship (or the individuals thereof.) A lie or a fight is a mistake. We confess (1 John 1:9), we forgive, and we move on. But, a pattern of such actions will lead quickly and permanently to removal from this board (Matt 18:15-17.)
So, allow me to be the first, on behalf of the staff of ETRT, to bid you a sincere WELCOME!
It is our prayer that this redicated site will be...
...of a manner that would reflect well on our Savior, Jesus Christ, as we are led by the Holy Spirit, to the praise and glory of our Father, God Almighty.
