Yeah CaryC, I've been scouting and trying to get my mind around all possibilitys.  I've been reading and looking and trying to be ready for whatever the Father decides we need to do.  I've done the stock and prepare part.  Got the guns and the goods.  It's time for more TP though.  CC, the trip wires was on my mind with the cans and rocks.  Fishing line was what i was looking at about 4-6 inches off the ground maybe?  We have some steep rock faces, so I'm not as worried about those.  People are lazy and will go the easiest route, so that would be my first set up, then the others.  I've been looking at routes of egress as well if pushed.

BN, yep, I prefer clear monofiliment. I keep several thickness. And you are right about using natural protection. People are lazy. If they were too lazy to prepare they will be to lazy to go the hard route. But there will be those trained that will be looking to take a free opportunity so don't totally forget any difficult routes.

CaryC. Yep I leaped before I looked. I hope I didn't make a huge mistake. Only time will tell. Yeah on the power down but until it does normal home security is still a valuable investment. It will at least help preserve all the hard work up till now. It would be a shame to do all that prep work only to lose it to some punk who gets lucky and hits your place when you don't have security set up. When the power goes out, like you said you go flexible to meet the needs as they come.

The OP reminds me so much of the tv series Jericho.... and all in all it is very depressing. To think that those of us that have been prudent and taken the time and money to do some type of prep will just be overrun by creeps with more or bigger guns and have it taken away from us by people that just bully their way thru life... living off the hard work and sweat of other people....

Watchingandwaiting:  I know what you mean, but don't take it too hard.  That is something that will become socially accepted, even as variations of it are acceptable today.  Illegal immigrant workers who have no recourse, or remedy for the way they are treated, and lack of human respect by those who would employ them.  Pre civil war era when some humans weren't even considered to be human.  The list can get rather long.   But, aaaaa but we have a father who cares for us, if we now are to be the victims.  May we be the image of the invisible one, when it is our time to go into the Coliseum.
